Some Life Experiences Can Help Change The Lives Of Those Around Us

Satinder Singh

Go Beyond Movement

Satinder Singh is a volunteer at Monica Bisht's Go Beyond Movement.

His journey for working for a social cause began in 2008 after a near-fatal experience changed his outlook towards society. His only goal in life was to work for society. He wanted to help each and everyone, not just one ‘conventional’ strata of the society but by doing good whenever possible. He would often fill up waterpots of birds and strays to drink in the whole of Hiranandani Gardens in Mumbai. A passionate sportsman, people would often find him teaching football to young kids in his society.

He came across Monica Bisht’s Go Beyond campaign and instantly joined her venture to create sporting opportunities for underprivileged kids. He decided to work on channelizing the energy of aimless youth in the Marathwada region which was drought-stricken, stirring people away from the numerous farmer suicides in the region.

For Satinder, It’s a matter of now or never – it's all about the inner motivation for a person and he wishes to make the most of it.
